Do I book a one way "Private" or a "Cabin" yacht charter?

When you are looking at options for a sailing holiday in Croatia, you will first need to decide whether you wish to book a private yacht charter or a cabin charter (with double-bed cabin). In this version you share the boat with 4-6 other travellers.

We have two options:

  • Cabin Cruising Experience is a fully crewed, all inclusive option which covers everything your trip needs (food is excluded).
  • Private Yacht Charter allows you to just book a 'Boat and Captain' and you can manage all the expenses during your sailing week yourself. One-way private yacht charter vacation costs more, but is fully flexible with itinerary nd you have the yacht just for yourself. You can upgrade this option with a hostess service and inclusions of your preference.

That mostly depends up to the guests, and their general satisfaction at the end of the yacht charter. On crewed sailing charters gratuities are discretionary, but it's customary to acknowledge the crew effort. Clients usually book a hostess service for extra relaxing and a care-free sailing holiday in Croatia. Together with our local skipper, they will make sure that your Croatia sailing trip is and indulging and a one-of a-kind experience.

Here are some basic assignments that a hostess does:

  • keeping all areas on yacht clean and tidy
  • handling the provisioning throughout the trip (shopping for supplies, taking care of fresh food before and during your trip)
  • she prepares and serves two light meals daily (breakfast and one simple lunch). Extra meals are option with an additional fee.
  • washes the dishes, cleans the galley and salon

Tip 1: We advise, that you give her some APA money (advanced provisioning allowance) so that she has enough to pay for the daily shopping.

Tip 2: When you hire a hostess you already get 2 meals included. That gives you more free time to explore the islands and have your dinner outside. Especially if you wish to taste Dalmatian specialties in typical family-run taverns called "konoba". With their local knowledge and experience, a hostess will be happy to recommend best local restaurants.

TIP3: If you wish to hire catamaran in Croatia with multilingual crew, book ASAP, since they get booked very fast!
